CIS 195* - Security+ Certification

An introduction to computer security. Topics to be covered include authentication, network security topologies, intrusion detection, cryptography, and physical security. This course is designed to assist the student to take the CompTIASecurity+ certification examination.

PREREQUISITES: CIS 100 and CIS 194 or permission of instructor.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
