UST 241* - OB/GYN Scanning Anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the female reproductive organs are presented in both normal and abnormal case studies. Image analysis, differential diagnosis, gestation times, the placenta, amniotic fluid evaluation, the umbilical cord, and chromosome disorders are a few topics to be covered. Transabdominal and transvaginal protocols of gynecologic scanning are also included.; Various techniques will be covered to emphasize strategies that should be implemented in difficult procedures.
PREREQUISITES: UST 200*, UST 211C*, UST 220*, UST 240*. COREQUISITES: UST 212C*, UST 221*. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
