EMT 240C* - Field Internship


Final supervised application of skills developed in EMT 201 through EMT 220C. Clinical experiences are performed in emergent, convalescent, urban and rural settings on ambulances with Advanced Life Support Certification. Emphasis is on the student’s ability to demonstrate organizational skills, prioritizing care, treatment choices for a variety of patient demographics, team leadership and professional behavior expected of an entry-level Paramedic. Successful candidates will have met all patient encounter outcome objectives prescribed in the National Standard Curriculum - Paramedic.

PREREQUISITES: EMT 220C*.
Hours: A minimum of 140 contact hours for the semester.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
