EMT 214* - Pediatric & OB/GYN Emergencies A study of medical and traumatic emergencies related to pediatric and obstetrical patients. Discussion is based on the unique needs of infants, children, and adolescents utilizing American Academy of Pediatrics and American Heart Assoc. guidelines. Emphasis is on physical assessment and life span development considerations. Obstetrical and gynecological emergencies are also covered in detail.
Hours: Two lecture hours per week. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
