AHC 100* - Introduction to Healthcare Systems

This course is designed to introduce a core of healthcare employment competencies and personal responsibilities in being a healthcare professional. Interpersonal skills, communication, recognition and response to emergency situations, infection control, legal and ethical issues, healthcare career awareness, and patient assessment are just a few topics to be covered.

Hours: Three lecture hours per week.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
