BIOL 2010 - ^Human Anatomy and Physiology I


This is a course primarily designed for students in nursing, health sciences, and those interested in biological sciences. Cell structure and physiology, tissues, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, and nervous system are studied. It is recommended that students who have an ACT composite of 19 or higher and are not strong in biology and chemistry take BIOL 1030  or CHEM 1030  prior to taking this course.  

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810  as determined by placement, and an ACT composite of 19 or higher, or an SAT composite of 990 or higher, or a minimum score of 70 on the A&P Challenge Exam, or completion with a grade of C or higher of CHEM 1030  or BIOL 1030 .
Corequisites: BIOL 2010 Laboratory
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
