RESP 1410 - *Fundamentals of Respiratory Care I This course introduces the student to the respiratory care profession. Topics covered include professional organizations, licensure, terminology, medical gas therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, pharmacology, cleaning and sterilization, isolation techniques, and basic patient assessment.
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Corequisites: RESP 1430 , RESP 2440 Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
