CISP 1010 - Computer Science I This course is the first of a two-semester sequence using high-level programming language; covers language constructs and simple data structures such as arrays and strings. This course includes an introduction to object-oriented programming concepts with an emphasis on problem solving using the language and principles of structured software development with an emphasis on developing good programming habits. This course is intended for students enrolled in the AS program with concentration in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering. This course is designed for transfer and part of the TN Transfer Pathways.
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support competencies in Reading and Writing and completion (with a grade of C or higher) of MATH 1710 or MATH 1720 or an ACT Math subscore of 24 or higher Contact Hours: 60 lecture hours per semester
