CITC 1332 - *Unix/Linux Operating System


This course provides a thorough overview of the Unix and Linux operating systems.  Emphasis is placed on the user interface, terminology and command structure within the multi-task/multi-user environment.  Electronic mail and communications standards are covered along with standard Unix/Linux utilities needed to support the automated office.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall
Prerequisites: CITC 1302   or CITC 1323  
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester

Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
