SSE 100SL - Social Science and Education Service-Learning Practicum


This course provides opportunities to participate in project-based, hands-on partnerships with community organizations.  Students gain experience in leadership and teamwork while meeting community needs.  Writing/oral-intensive, the course promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, civic engagement, communication, and cultural awareness.  Students engage in systematic reflection and apply interdisciplinary knowledge in real world experiences.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) As needed
Contact Hours: 15 practicum hours per credit hour per semester

Repeated: May be repeated for credit, but only 3 hours of SSE 100SL, STEM 100SL, or HUM 100SL may apply toward graduation.
