MLAB 2201 - *Clinical Immunology


Basic principles of the immune system structure and function in health and disease. Topics include principles of a natural and acquired immunity, hypersensitivity, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, transplant and tumor immunology, immunological techniques and flow cytometry. (This course was previously MLT 114)

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall
Prerequisites: Formal admission to the Medical Laboratory Technician Program.
Corequisites: MLAB 2201L
Contact Hours: 15 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester

Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate-level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
