ENGL 290P - *English Practicum


This course includes practical editorial and/or layout experience while producing literary publications. The amount of required work varies with credit hours. There is an emphasis on soliciting, reading, and critically evaluating submissions, copyediting, layout, arrangement of material for literary effect, and collaboration with staff to meet publication deadlines. 

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring
Prerequisites: Permission of the department
Contact Hours: 45-135 practicum hours per semester

Repeated: May be repeated for credit. Up to six credit hours may be counted towards graduation. Not intended for transfer.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
