MATH 1530 - ^Introductory Statistics This course is an introduction to elementary methods and techniques. Topics include sampling, frequency distributions, elementary probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions, tests of hypotheses, significance of data, and simple correlation. (Equivalent to TN eCampus MATH 1530)
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisites: College level placement in Reading and either college level placement in Math, completion of SAILS Statistics, or concurrent enrollment in MATH 0153 Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
