MATH 1010 - ^Math for General Studies


This course is intended for students whose program of study requires one 3-hour mathematics course. This course is designed to provide insight into the nature and applications of mathematics. Topics include but are not limited to the following: Critical Thinking, Set Theory, Logic, Consumer Mathematics and Finance, Counting Methods and Probability Theory, and Basic Statistics. (Equivalent to TN eCampus Math 1010)

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer
Prerequisites: College level placement  in Math, completion of SAILS Statistics, or concurrent enrollment in MATH 0101   
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
