AGRI 1050 - Introduction to Soil Science


This course will engage students in understanding soil management relative to fertility, plant nutrition, tillage, erosion and environmental conditions as the origins of soils and soil properties are examined. The physical, chemical, and biological processes of soil will be introduced in addition to the relation of soil and land use management.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) TN eCampus Only
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810  as determined by placement.  
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 20 lab hours per semester
