SOCI 250 - Sociology of Sport The sociology of sport class will include the history, definition, and functions of sport. Other topics will explore the role of sport and the socialization of children; the relationship between sport and values; athletics within the social organization of education; deviance, crime, inequality, and violence in sport; and the business and economics of sport.
