EMPR 1205 - *Writing for Radio & Podcast

In this course, students will receive practical experience in writing for radio and podcast. Style rules will be emphasized in writing news, commercials, weather, promotional announcements, drama, comedy, FCC-compliant underwriting announcements, and more. Written assignments and three hours of supervised computer lab work per week. (This course was previously COMM 205.)

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate-level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
