HIMT 2302 - *Basic ICD Coding II This course is a study of procedural coding and classification system used in classification of medical procedures and employed to organize medical information for future retrieval. Application of the current International Classification of Diseases Official Coding Guidelines as related to procedure coding will be addressed. Assignment of current coding and classification codes based on documentation will be practiced.

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
