MECH 2480 - *Automation Systems This course is a study of the automation systems utilized within a mechatronics system. Topics covered will include Metal Cutting, Modal Analysis, CNC, CAD, CAM, programming and microcontrollers that are used in modern manufacturing technologies.
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall (Cookeville), Spring (Gallatin) Prerequisites: ACT Math subscore of 19 or equivalent or completion of MATH 1005 with a C or higher Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
