VET 230 - *Veterinary Clinical Pathology This course will introduce the students to the machines and skill sets necessary for routine in-house diagnostics typically performed in private veterinary practice. Areas of emphasis will include methods for: complete blood counts (CBC), clinical serum chemistry analysis, histology slide preparation, fecal sample preparation, urinalysis and others.
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall Prerequisites: VET 101 with a grade of C or higher Corequisites: VET 230 Laboratory Contact Hours: 30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
