PHYS 2010 - ^Non-Calculus Physics I


This course is an introduction to mechanics. This course includes the study of the kinematics and dynamics of linear and rotational motion, statics, Newton’s Law of Gravitation, mechanics of solids and fluids, the conservation principles of energy and momentum, and thermodynamics. The course is designed primarily for pre-professional health students. Credit in only one of the following courses can be used toward graduation or general education requirements: PHYS 1030, 2010, 2110.

 

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring
Prerequisites: MATH 1720  or MATH 1730  with a grade of C or higher
Corequisites: PHYS 2010 Laboratory
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 45 lab hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
