HIST 2060 - ^African American History


This course will examine the history of Africans and their descendants in the United States from the end of the Civil War to the present, investigating topics from emancipation to the ongoing struggle for Civil Rights. Connections between this history and the issues and concerns facing all Americans in the present will be explored. 

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810  and READ 0810  as determined by placement.
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements.
