DAST 1620 - *Preventive Dental Assisting


This course is a study of the practices and philosophy of preventive dentistry which can be integrated into all dental settings. Includes oral hygiene, nutrition, counseling, and safety.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring
Prerequisites: DAST 1540  and acceptance into the Dental Assisting Program
Contact Hours: 30 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
