COMM 1030 - Introduction to Electronic Media This course provides students with a fundamental, hands-on introduction to technologies that are being used to gather, process, and circulate information. Students will study Web design, create blogs and podcasts, and compose multimedia presentations for the Internet, plus examine new technologies as they develop. The course will also investigate how media is evolving to serve the public. [This course was previously COM 101.]
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810 and READ 0810 as determined by placement.
