MATH 1720 - ^Precalculus Trigonometry Pre-Calculus II is designed as a course for students who plan to major in mathematics and/or science and are not prepared to take calculus. Topics include the trigonometric functions of the acute and general angle, applications of right triangles, identities, related angles and the reduction formula, radian measure, graphs and graphical methods of the trigonometric functions, applications, inverse trigonometric functions. Credit toward graduation cannot be received for both courses in the following pair: MATH 1720/1730. (Same as TN eCampus MATH 1720)
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisites: Either MATH 1710 with a grade of C or higher, completion of MATH 1130 with a grade of A, or four years of high school mathematics including Algebra II and an ACT Math subscore of 23 (or equivalent) Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
