MATH 1530 - ^Introductory Statistics This course is an introduction to elementary methods and techniques. Topics include sampling, frequency distributions, elementary probability, binomial distributions, normal distributions, uniform distributions, tests of hypotheses, significance of data, and simple correlation. (Same as TN eCampus MATH 1530)
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisites: ACT Math subscore of 19 (or equivalent), or completion (with a grade of C or higher) of MATH 1005 or a higher course, or completion of Learning Support Competencies 1-5, or concurrent registration in MATH 0153 or MATH 0105 Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
