GEOL 1040 - ^Physical Geology This course is an introduction to the physical geology of the earth including composition, structure and evolution. Laboratory and field experiences involve rock and mineral identification, along with map and field interpretation of geologic structures. Credit in GEOL 1030 cannot be combined with GEOL 1040 or GEOL 1050 to satisfy graduation or general education requirements.
Semester Availabilty: (Subject to Change) Fall Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing and an ACT MATH subscore of 19 (or equivalent) or completion (with a grade of C or higher) of MATH 1005 , MATH 1130 , MATH 1710 or a higher course Corequisites: GEOL 1040L
