READ 0810 - Skills for College Reading

This is a course designed to improve reading comprehension and skills in the areas of main idea, supporting details, organization and relationships, vocabulary development, and critical and strategic reading. Students read a variety of texts and complete an individualized study plan. Successful completion of READ 0810 satisfies Reading Competency Level 2.

Prerequisites: ACT Reading subscore less than 18 or equivalent
Corequisites: VSCC 1000
