BIOL 1070 - Environmental Management This course will include discussions and applications of microbiology, limnology (lakes and rivers), power generation, pollution, waste management, air and weather, toxicology, and environmental law (safe drinking water act [focus on MCLs and related limits], clean water act [focus on NPDES permitting], RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, FIFRA, TSCA, NCP, OPA) focused toward the needs of the water and wastewater utilities. Completion of Foundations of Environmental Technology Technical Certificate with an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher is required.
PREREQUISITES: Departmental approval from the Math & Science Division. COREQUISITES: ENVT 1010 Hours: Three lecture/laboratory hours per week Credits: (3)
