INFS 2630 - *Wireless Networks

This course covers the fundamentals of wireless networks.  Topics include 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11a-c technologies, controller and controller-less technologies, mesh vs. non-mesh architectures spectrum analysis, wireless design, wireless installations, wireless conflicts and troubleshooting (cross channelization, shadowing, etc.), and wireless security.

PREREQUISITES: INFS 265 with a C or better
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
