VET 215 - *Veterinary Microbiology and Infectious Disease An overview of the microorganisms commonly encountered in private veterinary practice. The course will stress identification techniques, sample handling, internal and external parasitism, and specific disease processes where applicable. Diseases with a potential for zoonosis or creating health hazards for the local population will be stressed.

PREREQUISITES: Completion of BIOL 1110, VET 101 and VET 110 with a grade of “C” or higher. Hours: Two lecture and two laboratory hours per week. Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
