VET 120 - *Pharmacology and Therapeutics


Students will learn drug classifications, proper handling, storage and record keeping associated with drug usage.  Methods of compounding, formulation and calculation of drug dosages will be discussed.  Various drug delivery methods and dietary management of chronically ill patients will also be covered.

Course may be offered through RODP.

PREREQUISITES: Completion of CHEM 1030 and VET 101 with a grade of C or higher.

 
Hours: Three lecture hours per week.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
