MLT 115 - *Blood Bank/Immunohematology


The theories of blood group antigens, antibodies, ABO grouping, RH typing, cross matching, antibody screening, and identification techniques are included as well as special procedures.  Donor history and physical record keeping, and special emphasis on quality control are presented.

Semester Availability: FALL ONLY - Semester Availability is subject to change.  See your advisor.

PREREQUISITES: Program Restriction-Enrollment limited to students admitted to the Program.
Hours: Thirty lecture and 30 lab hours per semester.
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
