INFS 213 - *Advanced Web Application Programming with ASP.NET

A course that takes the principles learned in INFS 113* Visual Basics and applies them to the environment of the web. This course covers topics ranging from programming a basic, web based, shopping cart to intergrating the application to a back-end database. Important areas or emphasis covered in this course will include securing a web application, validating user input, managing web session state, using master template pages and themes for site consistency, web application data source connections as well as others. [This course was previously CIS 213.]

PREREQUISITES: INFS 113 with a grade of “C” or better or permission of the instructor.

Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
