The Department of Communication offers several degree programs.  Communication is the study of human interaction in interpersonal, group and public settings. The Associate of Art in Journalism is a two-year program for students planning to continue their education to earn a bachelor’s degree in journalism or related fields. Below are a few examples of possible careers for those with a degree in Journalism and the associated salary information.

Transfer Options:
The University Parallel Degree program is designed for transfer to universities offering a Baccalaureate degree.  Contact your advisor for additional information.

All students graduating with a degree from VSCC are required to take the Educational Testing Service Proficiency Profile (ETSP) to meet graduation requirements. More information can be found at http://www.volstate.edu/Testing/Services.php.
