Pre-Nursing - A.S. [Cumberland Partnership]

The Associate of Science (Pre Nursing-Cumberland Partnership) is a two-year program leading to a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Cumberland University.  Partnership graduates earn the A.S. degree from VSCC and the B.S.N from Cumberland University.   Nursing Admissions faculty and staff visit the campus each fall and spring semester to provide up-to-date information about the partnership, expectations, and the application process. Check with the Math and Science Division about the dates of these advising sessions on the VSCC campus.  Additional information is found on the Jeanette C. All students graduating with a degree from VSCC are required to take the Educational Testing Service Proficiency Profile (ETSP). More information can be found at http://www.volstate.edu/Testing/Services.php.

Students who transfer without the AS degree must also complete MATH 1130, College Algebra.

The BIOL 1110 requirement is waived for students transferring to the Cumberland University nursing program with an AS degree and credit in BIOL 2010, 2020, and 2230. Work with your advisor to request the most appropriate course substitution. Courses from natural science, social science, and mathematics are recommended.
