Radiologic Technology - A.A.S.

The Radiologic Technology Program prepares students to become Radiologic Technologists (Radiographers). Medical Imaging represents the second largest Health Science profession in the nation. Radiographers work in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, clinics, and physicians’ offices.

The College cannot accept all students who want to take the Radiologic Technology program. Admission to the program is limited. Screening is done once a year in late May.

This program takes two years to complete not including the previously completed general education courses.  The program begins in mid-August and includes extensive hours of supervised instruction in Medical Imaging departments in area hospitals.

In order to be eligible for admission into the program, students must successfully complete with a grade of “C” or higher all of the required 16 hours of general education courses, AHC 104*, and demonstration of computer competency. There is a May 1st deadline.  All Learning Support courses in Reading and Writing as well as MATH 1000 must be completed with a “C” or higher prior to the interview process. For more information refer to the Health Sciences Associate of Applied Science Degrees  section in the catalog. Computer Literacy Requirement
