Veterinary Technology - A.A.S.

This two year program provides preparation and experience in Veterinary Technology.  AVMA accreditation of the program is anticipated in May, 2013.  Students graduating after that date will be eligible for the national board exam required for licensure and a career as a License Veterinary Technician (LVT).  

Admission to the program is competitive.  Applications for admission are due May 15th.  Interviews and selection of successful candidates will occur in June.  The following are required for consideration and selection into the program:

  • Application to the Veterinary Technology Program
  • An advising session with the Program Director (recommended prior to application) 
  • Submission of high school and all college transcripts
  • Personal Interview and Physical Ability Demonstration
  • Clear Background Check (required prior to enrollment in VET 150*)
  • Proof of health insurance coverage (prior to enrollment in VET 150*)
