This two year program provides preparation and experience in Veterinary Technology. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate may sit for the licensure examination by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) to become Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT).
Admission to the program is limited but academically eligible students may enroll in VET 101* prior to applying to the program. Applications for admission are due November 1 and interviews will occur immediately following final exams in December for admission into the spring semester VET courses. The following are required for consideration and selection into the program:
- Application to the Veterinary Technology Program
- Successful completion of BIOL 1110, CHEM 1030, and VET 101*
- Submission of high school and all college transcripts
- Personal Interview and Physical Ability Demonstration
- Clear Background Check (required prior to enrollment in VET 150*)
- Proof of health insurance coverage (prior to enrollment in VET 150*)
