BIOL 1040¨ - Environmental Science A survey of the major environmental issues and concerns facing our planet. From a background study of natural ecosystems and human populations, the course will survey the environmental, social, and economic consequences of energy generation, resource consumption and pollution. Numerous local field trips will be a major part of the course.
PREREQUISITES: DSPW 0800 and DSPR 0800 or acceptable placement scores. Hours: Three lecture, three field/laboratory hours per week. General Education: Course can be used to meet Minimum General Education Core requirements. Credits: (4)
