COMM 235 - *Non-Fiction Film and Video Production

This advanced course covers non-fiction production including documentaries, promotional videos, corporate and educational videos, commercials, PSAs, and video journalism. Students will research and develop topics, create AV scripts, develop interview questions, transcribe interviews and create paper edits, and work in teams to shoot and edit short non-fiction films and videos.

Prerequisites: COMM 212, COMM 222
Contact Hours: 45 lecture/lab hours per semester

Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
