PHYS 1030 - ^Survey of Physics This is an introductory study of selected topics in physics including mechanics of linear and curvilinear motion, energy gravitation, vibrations and waves, sound electricity, magnetism and some atomic and nuclear physics. Note the preceding introductory discussion concerning course credits. Credit in only one of the following courses can be used toward graduation or general education requirements: PHYS 1030, 2010, 2110. (Same as TN eCampus PHYS 1030)
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810 and READ 0810 as determined by placement and an ACT subscore of 19 (or Equivalent) or completion of MATH 1005, MATH 1130, or MATH 1710 or higher. Corequisites: PHYS 1030 Laboratory Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 lab hours per semester
