HSC 100 - *Introduction to Social Services This course is an introduction to the various fields of social work and the roles and responsibilities of human services professionals and volunteers. The course includes study of the history and structure of social welfare. A minimum of thirty hours of volunteer work in an agency is required.
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours, 30 volunteer work hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution.
