ENGL 2055 - ^African American Literature This course includes reading representative and significant works by African-American writers. Poems, stories, novels, memoirs, and songs are examined for their insight into African-American life and thought as well as themes and experiences common to human existence. Cultural and creative expression is analyzed within its social and historical contexts.
