CHIN 1010 - Beginning Chinese I

This course is an elementary course in the essentials of Chinese with an emphasis on listening, speaking, reading, and writing.  This course includes an introduction to the culture and history of Chinese-speaking countries.

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810 and READ 0810 as determined by placement.
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
