MATH 1010 - ^Math for General Studies This course is intended for students whose program of study requires one 3-hour mathematics course. This course is designed to provide insight into the nature and applications of mathematics. Topics include but are not limited to the following: Critical Thinking, Set Theory, Logic, Consumer Mathematics and Finance, Counting Methods and Probability Theory, and Basic Statistics. (Same as TN eCampus Math 1010)
Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer Prerequisites: ACT Math subscore of 19 (or equivalent), or completion (with a grade of C or higher) of MATH 1005 or a higher course, or completion of Learning Support Competencies 1-5, or concurrent registration in MATH 0101 or MATH 0105 Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
