ECON 2100 - ^Principles of Macroeconomics


This course introduces the economic dilemma, supply and demand, and the roles of major sectors within the economy.  The course explores the process of national income and output determination and the use of monetary and discretionary fiscal policies to control inflation and unemployment. Keynesian economics, the Monetarist School, and modern classical macroeconomics are examined and compared.  [This course was previously ECON 2010.]   (Same as TN eCampus ECON 2100)

Semester Availability: (Subject to Change) Fall, Spring, Summer
Prerequisites: Acceptable placement scores or completion of all Learning Support Competencies in Reading and Writing or concurrent enrollment in ENGL 0810 and READ 0810 as determined by placement.
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
