PTAT 2520 - *Neuromuscular Conditions and Treatment for the PTA

This course introduces the PTA student to common neuromuscular pathologies, contemporary rehabilitation concepts, and accepted therapeutic interventions for these conditions. Emphasis will be placed on safe and effective application of specific neuromuscular treatment interventions and data collection.

Prerequisites: PTAT 2220, PTAT 2440, PTAT 2492, PTAT 2510
Corequisites: PTAT 2280, PTAT 2493, PTAT 2494
Contact Hours: 45 lecture hours per semester
Laboratory Hours: 60 laboratory hours per semester
Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
