FIRE 2355 - *Hazardous Materials I This course includes a discussion of the basic methods of recognition and identification of hazardous materials based on the chemical and physical properties of hazardous materials and the basic safety procedures when utilizing specific types of protective equipment. Discussion includes the basic tactical concerns relating to scene management of a hazardous material incident.

This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
