MECH 2490 - *Manufacturing Applications A study of manufacturing improvement processes in a mechatronics system for real world applications. Topics covered will include process variation, waste reduction, continuous improvement, and basic time study methods. Students will work as a team to apply improvement methods in a real world application with a final presentation.
Semester Availabilty: (Subject to Change) Spring Prerequisites: MECH 2320, MECH 2441 (or concurrent enrollment), MECH 2480 (or concurrent enrollment) Contact Hours: Three lecture hours per week Laboratory Hours: Two laboratory hours per week Vocational/Career Program Designation: *Designated primarily for vocational/career programs
This course may be accepted as transfer credit by some colleges and universities, but that decision is made by the receiving institution. This course is collegiate level work, but it has been developed with a purpose other than being a university parallel course.
